Madcap Madison... Feet still growing....

Mars:
She's growing like a weed- but I am proud to say how quickly she takes to learning. She sits every time. She learned down in 3 treats :D- She comes nearly every time. Understands off and crates without issue. Retrieves and drops. And waits at the door and at gates.

Of course, she does all of that with plenty of treats. We only work about 5 minutes at a time- though I think she would work longer if I asked her too.

She's goes in the pond- but not deep enough to swim- I haven't let her off the leash yet down there.

I'm thinking in a couple weeks we will work on down and stay.

She's happy- Has eaten two pairs of shoes, part of a door frame and an outdoor chair. I put a swimming pool in her yard and bought bigger (tougher) chew toys. She's on her third collar and is doubled her size.  Her eyes have turned green and I think she is finished ripping my pants.

Life is good. ;)

Nothing quite like a new puppy, is there?  :)

Tim just said something yesterday about Petey being 3 years old.   Can you believe it?? I remember when he was brought home and sitting on top of my desk like it was yesterday.   Zipped into my life and stayed there - part of the fabric.

I had about 2 weeks that I wondered what the heck I got myself into- but she's finally stopped leading with her mouth and I'm no longer bloody.

I like her. She's nothing like Mars- she's smarter for one thing... but I really like her. Next week I'm taking her to town for a walk where other people are. The only way to expose her, you know what I mean?- Since my hill is not a hotbed of visitors I need to get her out there.

WHOA!!! I cannot get over how BIG Madison has grown already!!! They sure don't stay pups tiny pups for long...goes for kitties too. Sounds like you have a great dog and companion...and a smart one to boot! That puppy stage sounds brutal but fun!! Madison will be well trained that's for sure... Mars the dog whisperer!!
